Election Info

Here is all the information you need in order to vote in the upcoming election.

Get Registered
If you are not yet registered to vote, download a voter registration form here or visit the Linn County Elections Office at Linn County West, 2500 Edgewood Road SW. Friday, October 23 (by 5:00 p.m.) is the last official day to register to vote for the election. *Please note you are able to register after this date, but it will require more paperwork.

Voting Absentee
• Absentee ballots are available now in the Linn County Elections Office at Linn County West, 2500 Edgewood Road. SW.
• Voters may vote absentee in person at the Elections Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Request forms for absentee ballots may be downloaded from the Linn County Auditor’s website
here.
• Friday, October 30 (by 5:00 p.m.) is the last day to request an absentee ballot.
• Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by Monday, November 2, 2009. You can mail them to: Linn County Elections, PO Box 1328, Cedar Rapids, IA 52406-1328 or deliver them in person to: Linn County Elections Office at Linn County West, 2500 Edgewood Road SW.
• Monday, November 2 (by 5:00 p.m.) is the last day to vote absentee at the Election’s Office.

Election Day and Poll Locations
• Election Day is Tuesday, November 3
• Poll hours on Election Day will be from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Poll locations for the election are listed on the Linn County Auditor’s website here.
